just get a K&N drop-in filter and call it a day
intake really won't do you any good without some exhaust work

i've seen a lot of guys remove teh stock air box and get an adapter for the mass air so that a cone filter will adapt to it. i personally would rather go the eaiser way and get the k/n replacement drop in for your car.

The stock system is already a "cold air intake", and will work just fine if your engine is still producing about the same horsepower as stock. Otherwise, yes, you can install either a "cold air intake" or a "short ram" intake. If you buy a kit, make sure you get one that installs on your particular series of car, as the 1986-1988 and 1989-1992 engines are slightly different.

As stated in Evil aviator's signature.

Beside that point, nobody makes a cold air intake or any of that kind of crap for the fc .....YET. Corksport just came out with a solid intake pipe that allows for the mounting of the airflow sensor and all that other bullshit so either look to them or just keep the stock filter.
