Can use BAC valve now that I have a SAFC.....huh?
Can use BAC valve now that I have a SAFC.....huh?
Well, I just installed my SAFC-II and now I can use the BAC valve to adjust the idle...
Before I had the SAFC installed, the screw on the BAC valve had to be screwed all the way for my car to idle around 900-950 rpm. I just thought I had to adjust the dashpot. But once the SAFC was plugged in, my rpm dropped to 600 or so and I had to unscrew the screw to adjust it to +/- 800.
How come?

Correction is not 0...well, I think.
I just hooked it up thats all. Going on the dyno saturday. Since I bought it used, I just initialized it so that I didn't run one someone elses settings.
Thats what I was told I should do.
Is that Right?

The stock fuel trim is rich at idle.
Leaning it some with the S-AFC will increase idle revs.
FWIW if you run out of adjustment with the idle air bleed, then you may have to adjust the throttle shaft hard stop.

Adding fuel in my engine at idle (800rpm) will raise the idle a bit but not that much. Maybe 50rpm
If you JUST hooked it up or initiallized it, then the correction is ZERO across the board on both HI and LO maps
