Question Can Turbo be added to a 86 13B?

i am very new at the rotary thing and don't know much about the engines, but i am about to purchase an 86 rx7 for 200 bucks, and i was wondering if there are turbos avialible for that year, because i know it doesnt have a turbo on it now. any details would be great.

yea, but im not sure if im going to bu the rx7 too, because it doesn't start, and the body is very rough, but 200 bucks is a pretty god deal. wat do you think?

no you can't.

certainly not to an egine that sounds weak.. if it even runs.

the turbo models are 98% different in every sigle way.

Dont do it. I turbo'd my 87 n/a. Such a waste... Now I'm installing a complete TII engine/drivetrain. Just if you want a turbo rex, get a rebuilt or jspec 13bt and install it, or just get a TII.

Wheres Aaron Cake when you need him. It CAN be done BUT be prepared to do some custom work. You need a custom spacer so the turbo clears the lower intake manifold. Then you need to supply the turbo with oil, coolant and then fab. up return lines for these fluids and the list goes on. You want an engine thats in good working condition first, otherwise you'll blow it and you'll be deeper in the hole after that
