Question Can a TII intake fit on a NA engine? Details please.

I know that the ports don't exactly match but will grinding them give decent results. Also will it bolt right up to the NA UIM? I have searched for this answer for a couple of days and not found the info I needed. The search engine not allowing the term "NA" kinda adds to the frustrution of course.

what is the main reason for wanting to do this? im just wondering, because you will lose torque no?

No gains, probably losses. One's designed to be sucked through, the other's designed to be blown through.

I plan to blow through, the reason is that I plan to turbo my NA and it would simplify things to not have to make a spacer or try to rig the wastegate to keep it from hitting from the frame rail.

Yes, it will fit. You will need to do some port matching, as well as elongate two bolt holes.

Thanks for the reply, do you know if it will bolt to my NA UIM? Or would I need the whole TII intake setup?

what intake the lower. I don't see how it bolts up, isn't one a 4 port and the other a 6 port? I am intersted as well because I have a 4 port manifold for my holley that I want to put on my 6 port motor. So if any details are available, please let me know. How do you make 2 holes into 4 holes?

P.s sorry for jumping on your thread, it is just closely related.

wpgrexx the outer two holes on each side will simply blow into one hole on the TII intake. I just was unsure if the holes were close enough to the 6 port motors location and not outside of what the intake of a TII will cover. Now my question is if the lower TII intake will bolt up to the upper NA intake.

do the bolt holes line up also? I was thinking of making a little adapter plate, but if all I have to do is a little port matching Yippeeeeee!!!!!I guess I should look more closely at it and compare it to the motor that is also in the garage. Thanks dudes

You need to use both the TII upper and lower for it to bolt up.

You'd think you would've mentioned that at the beginning...

I was trying to avoid all the flaming and negativity usually associated with this subject. I am definitly going to do it, I just want to plan and do it when I know what has to be made, modified, etc. and have all my parts ready. So far I have the turbo, manifold, and one RB plate that I found locally cheap. I guess I will do the spacer like Aaron did and will likely relocate the wastegate for clearance. I also may keep the aux ports and control them with an electronic actuator on a cable rather than the air diaphgram they use now. Some say that they won't matter but I think they could help in low RPM conditions. If not I will yank them and fill in the part of the manifold where the rods are now.
