can spark plug wires go bad after sitting

im using wires that have sat in my garage for over a year while trying to get my car started .... they worked just fine when the car was running , but they have sat for over a year ...

now im not getting spark ..

i have a lot of pages printed out from searching on here about no spark, so i still have ALOT of stuff to check , but i couldnt find out if spark plug wires will actually go bad from just sitting in a dry garage for over a year.

anyone know?

I'd imagine it's possible for the connectors to gather some surface rust if you live in an area with any kind of humidity. Test them via multimeter yet?

Test like that...I forget a good value, whip up a search in this subforum and the ohm value should pop up.

It's also listed in the FSM!

From FLUKE's website, stock wires should test 10K ohms per foot, or 30K per meter.
