ON Can this be saved?

Hi,

I bought a cheep s4 motor a while ago, something to play with really, but I was hoping to eventually rebuild it.

Looking at the eccentric shaft, it's scored pretty bad.

Can this be saved?

If so, what needs to be done?

Thanks!

That isn't scored. The rotor bearing spun and is now stuck to the journal! No, it cannot be saved!

I have a perfect condition e-shaft if you're interested... $40 plus shipping and it's yours.

Keep the e-shaft and make a mobile in your living room of rotary parts you've had to replace. Coolest centerpiece ever.

Haha, I am keeping my rotor housing that RP replaced and I am going to find a cheap rotor to put in there. I am going to put a clock in the center of the rotor and suspend the rotor in the housing with clear lexan supports on the back. I'll have to post pics when I finish it.

I did something similar to a piston from a 302, tack welded the wrist pin in place and stuck a clock in the rod where the journal bearing is supposed to go.

John, I'll take it if you can ship to Ontario.

Thanks!
