Question Can a LOOSE thorttle cable cause

i was looking at it, and i know its supposed to have SOME slack, but it was really loose looking where it attaches to the TB swivel thing

Yes it can make it die. Take out the slack and adjust the TB idle set screw.

well the line has plenty of slack ... so much so i had to put a clamp around a portion of the line, and the ABS unit, to keep it from getting chopped up by the fan ...

what concerns me is from the bolt type thing on the cable, (that connects to the back of the manifold) to the actual swing thing that the cable rests in (on the TB) ... it seems to be quite loose ... maybe thats why i cant idle below 1000? ... it just wont keep the plates open at that low of an rpm???

lol .. i dont know ..
