Can I Utilise My Factory Injection Hardware

Hi Guys I have an 86 NA with a 13B 6 port.

My question is - can i replace the housings with turbo housings bridgeport them then run aftermaket engine management while still using all the 6 port injection hardware -

Has anyone done a similar sort of thing to their FC??

I would like to stay NA. I would appreciate all input here, NZ only got 50 NA's so modding them is very uncommon.

But I have also considered supercharging the 6 port if the above project is too ambitious.

A NZ Company Mazsport runs a 20B Supercharged FC street registerd - current best et 10.6. Looking at breaking the nines this October

You mean plates, not housings. The inlet ports that you want to bridgeport are in the end and center plates. Since a 4-port manifold will be required to match up to the 4-port plates, you will not be able to do this and retain the 6PI sytem.
If you're bridgeporting, you're obviously more concerned about top-end, so I wouldn't worry about the 6PI. You'll need a very free-flowing exhaust for a BP, so there won't be any back-pressure to open the auxiliary ports anyway.

I think he ment housings... get rid of the exhuast diffuser, and keep the 6 port plates.. ??

but ya getting the 6 -ports to work would be hard.. and probably not worth in on a BP

He said he wanted to bridgeport them, so I think he did mean the plates. But you make a good point about the NA's exhaust port diffuser. The turbo housings (without the diffuser) would be better.

Sorry i meant 4 port end plates and housings - to remove the diffuser.

Sounds like a lot of dicking round, I was hoping to be able to use the throttle body etc but it sounds like a lot of expense. Might just **** can the whole motor and go turbo.

I have 2" Headers and full 2 and 1/2" system with 2 12" Bullets and a single stainless muffler.

I hope my ports are opening - I have run a 15.90 at 90 miles with this exhaust.
