Can I use this in a second gen?
And before telling me if I can, tell me what it is, cuz it just looks... nuts. Weird. Something. What does it do?

Rotary Freak
Its an electric fan....
Our engines rev too high to get much use out of it..
Rotaries prolly suck air faster in the high band than it can deliver.
Low end might work better, i dunno.

The guy mensiones an RX-7 in the add.
It looks like it's an electric supercharger.
You'll get perhaps 1PSI of boost which works out to around 5% more HP.
He says it will "intelligently manage your engine" or something
I don't see how.
You might get a bit of throttle response, but this unit doesn't look to be big enough to do much.
$250 for 7-10 HP is crazy ****.
Spend the money on an exhaust or intake, instead.
So, Yeah, it WILL work on your car (probably), but it won't do much.
and the 30% fuel econ increase and 85% emmissions decrease is bullshit.
what's the point of one of these operating at anything other than WOT?
the ones at www.electricsupercharger.com look to be better built.
I tried doing this to my first car (1989 Ford Escort) and I used a marine blower motor (15,000 CFM or something, about the same as this one) and I couldn't even notice the difference.
