Can I use an S5 Headlight switch in an S4?

.I thought it had something to do with just the patch harness...
but I need to know so I can have lights for the upcoming inspection..My old switch is on the Fritz.
Can I use a headlight switch from an s5 on an s4 car?..without issue?
Thanks Guys.STYX.

I think if you go the other way around (S4 in S5) it will ruin the switch, So I can only imagine going this way won't be good for it.

Seems like you should be able to repin the patch harness and make it work.

ah!.Thanks again Satch!..and Jack!.
..Just to let ya know "how" this happened.
Lights were working fine, one of the Headlight motors stuck, but I took the fuse out and put the buckets up to deal with them later,So I'd still have lights
The Previous owner killed all the speedo surround mounting points on the dash,so I just got Rambunctious and changed the Whole ratty burgundy dash for my old black one.
I got to put the Surround back in.hook up the Switch..and BUZZZZ..What?It was fine before..NOW what happened??..soooo,
I changed the relays..Buzz at the relay?why?..I change with another switch..buzzz?That one bad too?..hmmm.
I go to my TII and take the whole surround out of that(since I "knew for a fact" that they worked fine)..FIXED!
So through Process of elimination I found out the Switch just "went"......stupid Part...!

Anyone know if there is a difference between the RHD and LHD headlight switch harness in terms of pin-out? I have a RHD harness, which does fit, but my park light setting is on the cleaner switch, and the cleaner setting is on the park lights, which makes them go up and down all the time.

And I really really hate it. Can't pass my MOT either.
