Can I use my Eshaft? w/ pictures

Hey guys can I still use this eshaft it had rust on it and I decided to polish it off with some fine steel wool. Here's the result, if I can't use this can I use the rx8 shaft without switching the rear stat gear and modifying any oil passage? I will be building this engine with s4 rotors and s5 housing its a 6port. Thank you for your time. I also hope I can find all the nuts and bolts when I assemble the engine. Its my fear that I can't find everything =(

won't say yes and won't say no.

i would definitely recommend just finding a replacement though, it's not worth grenading an engine to save a few dollars with such an important part.

pretty much, i would worry about the oil aerating off the pitting and eating away at the rotor bearings.

just like apex seal chattering, it is difficult to pinpoint exactly where you will start to run into issues.

if you can feel the pitting with your fingers then it is an issue.

You can often get good used eccentric shafts for $50 or less, too.
