can I sumerge my rotors in simple green solution?

can I sumerge my rotors in simple green solution?

hey guys, the atkins rebuild video says to sumerge teh rotors fro about 12 hours. can i use simple green solution like 70% simpple green 30% water? or should i use orange blast? i could use carb cleaner but each bottle is only lik 16oz and tehy cost liek 5 bucks each..any ideas? also i misplaced my rotors and i don't know which one is front and which one is rear. can anyone help?

You really need to use some kind of heavy-duty carb or cold-parts solution. I soaked mine in the cold parts solution overnight and it worked great. I don't think the green stuff will clean the carbon completely off. When it comes to cleaning the apex grooves, oil control ring slots and corner seal pockets, canned carb cleaner is the best.

If you still have the apex seals in the rotors you can tell which is which. The corner pieces (little triangle jobber) always face the rear of the engine. So, if the corner piece is facing the open side of the rotor that is the front rotor. If it is facing the gear side, that is the rear rotor.

i found that if u look at the rotors from the opposite side of wher eteh gear teeth stick out one rotor has like dented holes on each side and they are teh same exact size but on teh oteh rrotor one hoel is dented abit smaller thna the other one
