Can I remove factory alarm

just wanted to know if u could just unplugg the factory alarm or if that would mess anything up

I don't see why you'd want to unless you were installing another or if it were broken.

yes it is broken i believe, i dont really feel like tracing the problem so i just want to be rid of it

S4 you can unplug. it's behind the glove box. S5 is built into the CPU and you can't.

ON the s5, you can unplug the top, multi pin wire on the cpu, and it defeats the alarm. I have done it.

thanks kevin, that was the purpose of my question to see if it was worth diggin out to unplug or just dealing with the random trips of the alarm.

and nothing else stops working? like hatch / door open lights, power door locks? horn? etc
