Are you talking about a racing harness? If not, what is wrong with the stock ones?

I got some pads at the dollar store. They're so freaking not padded.

Think when I go home to visit my parents this weekend I'll bring them and get my mother to stuff a ton of cottonballs inside. Get her to sow "RX-7" into it too.

Other than that, unless you have racing seats, no point in a racing harness.

Having an aftermarket seats doesnt mean that you need a racing harness. Are you planning to track your car alot? Otherwise that is just a waste of money getting one. But is your decison and your money.

keep it factory unless you plan to actually race it on a track.... most people put aftermarket seats and harnesses in w/out a roll bar..which is just unsafe! if you wanna do it, do it right... do not install aftermarket harnesses w/out the proper roll bar to mount them to!

Well at least your trying to be kinda safe while doing something incredibly stupid. As stated, make sure the belts are properly installed. And didn't you say it was a stock seated car in the first post?

Having a race harness and using it on the street is actually illegal, but most cops dont care. As viper said, unless you have a roll bar, forget it. The stock seat belt is fine, they also sell the peice that connects to the stock seat belt, that alows you to tighten it, as you would a race harness

Well, if the brace thingy he is getting is actually designed as a seat belt bracket (whatever they are called) then he can use them safely. And since hes street racing I doubt he cares if its legal.
