can anyone give me detailed directions on cutting bumpstops?

apparently im hitting the bumpstops on hard cornering (per hypntyz7) and i need to 'trim' my bumpstops. Im aware on how to take out the shocks/springs and dissassemble them, but how much should i take off and with what tool.

thanks for any insight.

When I installed eibachs on my friends PGT, we had to cut the bumpstops. Id say just take off about 1/3-1/2, and I just used a hacksaw.

there really should be some good info on the manufacturer's website, or at least on *some* spring man.'s website.
