can any one tell me why i'm scratching in 5th gear ?

every gear is fine but 5th scratches

if i double clutch for 5th gear it goes in fine and if i'm at a dead stop and pump the clutch for a while it gets firm and i have no problem

i'm thinking its my slave cylinder but i'm not positive any one have a clue ?

If you've bled your clutch and its doing this.. could be the slave cylinder. If you haven;t bled the clutch.. do so

If you've installed a Heavy duty pressure plate.. you should probably replace your clutch line with a braided steel hose.. if the problem still persists... replace or rebuild the slave cylinder...

Also.. make sure you still have fluid

Just sounds like the 5th gear synchro is worn. Drain the tranny fluid and replace with a something designed for improved synchro performance like Redline MT-90.
