I think the IAT sensor is right inside the AFM.

if this is for your TII motor, the intake air temp sensor is on the TB elbow.

Is that the two pronged thing sticking right out of the TB with the flat, rectangular plug--by the TPS?

No offence, but after a year and a half and 1800+ posts on the forum, you should know that all of these items are easily found in the FSM, and the FSM is freely available on several sites. The FAQ will tell you where to get it, and searching for "FSM" would give you dozens of posts telling you where. Studying it will save you (and us) a lot of time waiting for answers to easy questions.

That aside, the only one of those items that might prevent your engine from idling would be the water thermosensor (on the back of the water pump), and then probably only when cold. If it's faulty the ECU will ignore it and assume the engine's warm.

The water temp sensor (under the oil filter) is for the temp gauge and has no effect on the engine; the IAT sensor (on the TB inlet) has little if any effect on idle; the power steering pressure switch and relay only help the idle when you're actually turning the wheel; and the initial set coupler is just used when adjusting the idle speed.

You've heard wrong. It's not supposed to be connected to anything. You stick a jumper wire across it's pins to put the ECU into "initial set" condition when adjusting the idle speed.

You need to describe your problem in more detail. "Won't idle" could be a thousand different things. Will it start easily? Does it not idle only when warm? Only when cold? Does it start and die instantly? Does it idle badly for a while and then die? More info needed please.

Yes. Again, see the FSM.
