Talking Can any one show me in pictures or some kinda sketch how to install an INTAKE.

I Don't know much about ALl this stuff so any help would be helpful. And what intake or intake kit would u guys recomend??????????

Are you talking about repair? If so, then look at the shop manual to find out (you can get an electronic copy from www.fc3s.org).

Or are you looking for a performance upgrade (I assume you mean cone filter)? I would recommend doing a search on these forums for "aftermaket intake" or "cone filter" orsomething of that sort. If you are looking for pictures of what others have done, people have constructed home-made "cold air boxes" for their intakes--if you search for those, then you should be able to track down some pictures of how people have done it, and what the results look like.

Also note that some people have had very little power gains from installing an intake (myself included), and you'd probably be better off doing the intake and the exhaust to complement one another if you're seeking bolt-on power.

If you want to put an aftermarket cone filter you will have to remove the stock air box completely to make room for it. The downside is since there is no ABS plastic surrounding the filter you should make a heat shield or cold air box so that it doesnt suck in hot air from the engine bay. If you dont build a cold air box you will probably lose any gains you get from upgrading to a cone filter. The gains are not very noticable at all in fact for me anyways.

Does anyone have a design for a cold air box for a 1991? I am adding the bonez intake and want to build a box around to lower heat of intake air. I'm assuming I'll use Aluminum and some Foil and adhesive backed foam to surround it. Any assistance will be appreciated!

you can PM attomica and ask about his templates. I think they are $5 still with life sized templates and a list of tools and pictures on a CD. Well worth it if you were lazy like me and did not want to measure.
