Can’t Start 7 after 4months of Storage

My poor little baby has been sitting in the driveway neglected and now I can’t get her started, she cranks over fine and fires every now and then, sometimes almost starting but it never sounds real confident if you know what I mean.

-I’ve tried (ether?) starter spray on the air filter which doesn’t seem to make any difference.
-It’s a mildly worked 13bt with extended/2nd stage porting and an aftermarket ECU.
-Fuel pressure seems fine and I have removed plugs and cleared cylinders but still the same old story.
-I have also tried roll starting it which actually seemed worse, she wouldn’t fire at all!
-I have considered the old gas and topped up the tank with fresh gas to dilute and also added an octane boost.

The thing that gets me is that she was starting and running sweet as a nut before her storage and she has started fine after longer periods of sitting around in the past.

Any help or guru-tips would be greatly appreciated in helping get my baby going again!
Thanks very much for takin’ the time to read my post!

ATF trick? Maybe try motor oil first.

Did you say starter fluid on the air filter?

charge the battery all the way make sure you got spark. just start cranking, it will take a while but i bet after a little time of cranking it over it will go. put put put pop pop and you will hear compression and shazam it will eventually fire up.

I remember one member posting something similiar after the car sat for a year and finally completed the motor swap only to run into similiar headaches. He changed the gas in the tank and his problem went away. Although, my car sat for 4 months before my swap and I had no issues. Just a thought....

Well if you only diluted the gas, i'd jumper the check connector in the engine bay and have the fuel pump run constantly for a few hours to mix up the gas.

She Lives! Thanks guys

I put in new gas + spark plugs then went through the de-flooding procedure with ATF fluid then she purred into life on the first crank! awesome! had to shut her down again though 'cause i'm worried that the thermostat mite be locked shut.

Thanks very much for your help mates
