Calling all electric gurus or anyone! Strange electrical probs

Ok this is hard to explain, my car wasnt starting it always appeared that the battery was dead. Took the battery to Advanced Auto and had them test it. It tested fine, they also charged it. Took the battery back to my car put it in had power to everything, tried to crank it and everything dimmed. I let off the key and everything stayed dim. Popped the hood and went and turned the positive battery terminal a little....full power to everything again. Went to turn the key, everything stayed dim again. So it has full power till i turn the key and then everything goes dim. If i try to push start it while my lights are dim it will not start but if i move the positive battery terminal to the right place and everything powers up it will push start but if i turn the key everything dims...WTF....i have no clue please help.

hailers nailed it...i had used some washers as a spacer on my negative battery terminal i guess they were corrosive with whatever the terminal is made off it had corroded pretty bad so i cleaned all the bolts and battery terminals with baking soda and vinegar and coated everything with vaseline...fired up first try!
