a/c rad for oil cooler?
I have a 88 TII that I am working on. It had a/c when I bought it and I recently removed it, because I want to get hp from this car. Can I use this air conditioning radiator as a large oil cooler radiator, or even as a second radiator for antifreeze? I want to know if they are the same on the inside-can the a/c hold oil, can it flow oil well enough or can it flow antifreeze?
Any knowledge is appreciated.
thanks

The A/C condensor is certainly able to withstand the pressures of a coolant system or oil system, but the flow rates are another story. Freon is a thin liquid, so there may be a problem with the resistance to flow in the condensor. You would certainly have to come up with a cold oil bypass system, like the stock cooler has.
I dunno. Try it. you may be onto something.

on the same subject.. sortof, i know some people have overheating problems during the summer, would putting a small cooling fan on the oil cooler help keep temp's down?
