a/c rad for oil cooler?

I have a 88 TII that I am working on. It had a/c when I bought it and I recently removed it, because I want to get hp from this car. Can I use this air conditioning radiator as a large oil cooler radiator, or even as a second radiator for antifreeze? I want to know if they are the same on the inside-can the a/c hold oil, can it flow oil well enough or can it flow antifreeze?

Any knowledge is appreciated.

thanks

The A/C condensor is certainly able to withstand the pressures of a coolant system or oil system, but the flow rates are another story. Freon is a thin liquid, so there may be a problem with the resistance to flow in the condensor. You would certainly have to come up with a cold oil bypass system, like the stock cooler has.

I dunno. Try it. you may be onto something.

i believer the holes (piping) for the A/C are way too small and the flow would be way off. Im not sure but this is what i think.

You will not get any benefits from the flow rate available from the A/C condenser.
For the cost of a oil cooler (less than $100) do it right.

This is true.
If you have cooling problems, look elsewhere.
