A/C problems :(
I have already searched and couldnt find any threads that had the info i needed.... i have an 88 turbo that i have narrowed down the problem to the main a/c relay per the FSM... Does anyone know what the relay is called or have a newer part number for it cause no one (even the dealerships) cant find it... Also if i still have to recharge the unit where is the low pressure nipple located cause i foung one on the compressor and one by the fire wall... thanks for your help
The low pressure switch on a series four is located on the drier which is in front of the radiator and offset to the right of the car. On series four there are two small elect plugs on that swtich. Jumper a wire b/t the two and see if the compressor now pulls in when the a/c is put to ON. Should if everything else is connected up.
IF the compressor now engages with a/c ON, then your right, the fluid is low. There are two compressors used on these cars. One compressor has both valves located on top of the compressor and the other type has the valves located on the lines near the firewall/passengers side of the car.
