Buzzer kicks on when hooking up battery

With battery power only and no key in I am getting the warning buzzer going off and idiot lights all on. Just re-located the battery and I'm not sure why this is happening. It should all be hooked up correctly. I am using the diagram off fc3spro.com

Is this some sort of safety warning? (i.e. other wiring not hooked up) Or would this tell you that it is hooked up improperly?

Any help would be appreciated.

Did everything work fine before you messed w/the car?

Did you by chance hook up the battery cables to the wrong terminals briefly?

If the second statement does not apply then perhaps you need to redo the ground cable's contact to the body.

Worked fine before. This is the only wiring that has changed so far. Battery cables were never hooked up improperly. I will check out the ground. Maybe I will try sanding the contact better.

Some things to note: There are no blown fuses in the main fuse block in the engine. With some more searching I feel it is worth asking if this is happening because the alternator is not hooked up?

I know you said the key is out of the ignition, but is it possible the ignition might be worn so that the ignition is actually in the "ACC" position? I only say this because mine is the same way and if I'm not careful when I pull my key out, the car will still be "on." Now why the buzzer, I couldn't tell you.
