Looks like it will need a good cleaning! But tr4c3 said it best. That's a deal.

Test drive it and post what you feel is not normal in a regular car riding. (Shaking, weird clunking noise, etc)

Is it just me, or is every radio always ripped out leaving the center looking really ghetto? (Myself included)

ew. My friend has a MkIII VW GTI. I've driven both. It does NOT compare to a TurboII.

Just suck it up and buy the RX7.

make sure you check for smoke on startup and while you run it (so basically the whole time)

I'll never buy anything from Osaka... have you been there? This shop is really dusty. One of my friend bought her KLZE there and she blow it than fight with that shop to replace it and then blow it angain ... they sell crap.

I saw it on montrealracing and lespac. I visited their shop last summer when I was looking for an engine and there is a lot of dust all around the shop.

find a reputable builder near you then. That way, when it blows, rip it out, port it and do some other fun stuff with it.

Wait wait, you're 16? Don't get the 7 as your first car, it's a money pit, and at 16, you have much better things to spend your money on.

Well the choice is up to you. They are fun cars, and can be fine daily driving. I daily drove my T2 til it popped. All depends on the condition of the motor and how you drive it. If the Golf is in better condition, and you like it, go for it. If you want the rx7, it's there. Just make sure you don't just buy it on an impulse just because everyone wants you to get it. If you know what you really want, then go for it.
