Talking Buying a Fc possibly...

Ok decided a FD is way to fast and probobly wanna go FC, ok after searching etc i have a few questions.

1: Are ANY FC's 4 seater and if not can i mate it 4 seater by buying a rear seat assembly etc.?

2: Are FC's any more reliable than FD's if taken care of?

3: How bad is insurance on FC's?

1. Yes, there were some 4 seaters.

2. Reliability is a not necessarily determined by the car. You have to take into account how the car was treated by the previous owner.

3. Age? Tickets?

Which ones came 4 seats like what model. any turbo 4 seaters?

There isn't supposed to be any 2+2 Turbo II's in the U.S., but there are some that exist.  Yes, you can just yank the +2 rear seats from a non-turbo and fit them it - the bolt holes and mount holes are all there.


2: Are FC's any more reliable than FD's if taken care of?
Yes!  Simplier systems means less things can break and go wrong.  Keep in mind some of them are over 15 years old, so typical maintenance items are prone to failing and require replacement.


3: How bad is insurance on FC's?
Less than an FD...
Most insurance companies do not differentiate between non-turbo and turbo models!  I pay $300/6 months through AIG.  35, no tickets.

Gtu's have 4 seat's but it'll be hella small for the rear people, insurance is about the same, and it depends on how you treat your car. and as far as speed go, an FC can keep up with no problem to a FD.
