Buying 13B, Need To Check Condition
Sorry guys but theres no pics yet.....I jus need some advice as quick as possible, im going to look at a 13b tonight that is not in a car but is said to be in excellent condition, is there any thing i should look for to varify the condition or is there any thing i can do to no that im not buying a blown motor, other then putting the guy on a lie detector? thanks and sorry agaiin, J

AWWWWW that was so wrong.
Yeah, spin the thing over by hand and make sure it has compression. Pull the plugs out and spin it by hand and make sure all cycles are strong. Pull the exhaust mani off and look inside. Look for rust, carbon, scored rotor housings, and make sure ALL the apex seals look good and are intact. Look at the engine oil, is there copper color flakes? Is it burnt? Does it smell really heavy of fuel? Look at the coolent fluid (if its not completely drained), is there comtaminants? Is there rust in it? Thats all I can think of now, I'm sure there will be more suggestions from others.
