to buy or not to buy
Hello all,
I found to rx7's in a guys back yard. The first is the gray color, its a 87 SE, it also has an aftermarket glass sunroof. The car is in good shape other than one fairly bad rust hole about 6 inches long and three high above the right rear tire. The car has 175,000 miles but still runs, its not blown yet and water seals are good but not sure how long it will last. It has new tire new suspension but WILL need to haev the front end fixed, wheel bearings steering rack, and possibly rotors turned and new pads.
The second is red 87 SE has no rust, also has new tires and good suspension, but it may need new front ball joints wheel bearings tierods and brake work. This one has 211,000 miles on it and the motor is gone and clutch and tranny are most likely gonna need work. The car has a minor bow in the left fron fender where it is sluightly buckled outward.
i already own 1 88 SE and i replaced the fron end in the car, including all brakes and pads, wheel bearings, tierod ends, ball joints, and the clutch, and also ahve done alot of performance thinsg to it,.
my question are these two worth buying to use i as a parts car and the other to fix up and run? and how much are the worth? the guy is asking 1500 for both, but suince i got my 88 SE for 650 and it had 20,00 on a rebuilt motor, new tires and new suspension as well as rebuilt tranny i figured these two were worth 1100 or so, any input??
