bumper problems
so i got this 88 GTU and the froint bumper is all fudged up so i took the bumper off but some of the side screws busted because they are so old so i was wondering how i would go about finding the screws that keep it on the car. also how much would it cost any one got a random good guess to true out my rear end. the owner before me fudged it up and the driverside rear sits lower than the left so im a lil pised anyone got elp?
If you are refering the the 4 bolts in the curved steel plate the pulls the front wrap up tight with the fenders, Drill them out and find t-bolts and tack weld them in place. I usually break at least 1 per side, no matter how careful I am.
Previous poster was right about the screws and that plate that pulls the bumper and fender together. Or go to a junkyard and see if you can find some fasteners that are not rusted...especially if you are in the southwest...As I'm typing this I don't remember where you're from.
As for the rear end, you need to get some more detail. What's broken? Why is it sagging. Get under the car and take a look. Is a coil broken or what is damaged? Without more information, its tough to guess...
