hey all. Anybody know if the s5 front bumper cover(nose) will fit perfectly onto the s4 TII for certain? I know this has probably been asked many times. I've heard they are interchangeable by a few folks, but, I just discovered that some vendors sell them accordingly by the years 86-88 and 89-91, so what's the real deal here? If I buy a brand new s5 bumper, will it fit perfectly onto my s4? Or, in order to use the s5 bumper on my s4, would I have to get the s5 fenders as well? Thanks all.

 

the reason vendors sell them differently is because of the molding. the molding on the S4's is different and also not body colored.

 

i think someone proved awhile back the fenders are SLIGHTLY differnt, kinda thing you wouldnt notice until pointed out to you.

 

actually, it was the S5 Turbo fenders that were slightly different, and only noticeable at the bottom of the fender.

The flare is exactly the same.

 

So with that said, would the s5 bumper cover fit perfectly onto the 88 TII using the existing TII fenders?

 

Other than the mouldings (which are different between 86-88 and the 89-92 FC models) Yep, it will work fine.

And covered quite a few times... maybe I need to add that to the FAQ for FC at the top of this section.
