Build or Reman?

Was just wondering some opinions on this. Over the summer I'm going to be rebuilding my T2 and aiming for around 350-400 rwhp. The motor is shot. It has 159k miles on it, and I'm not sure on the condition of the rotors yet (Haven't had a day off to stop by and pull it apart). Now I will definitely be getting a streetport. Would I be better off buying a reman motor and sending it to be ported, buying a used motor and rebuilding it (will not use a jspec), or finding the pieces aka housings, rotors, irons etc. and putting it together that way. I want to go with the safest route, so I know everything will be in good working order (Not sure if I just answered my own question there..).

I say send your core to one of the major rotary builders, they will rebuild it and port it as well if you ask.

I was originally going to send it out. But my housings are done, and have high mileage. I guess I'll have to get the motor fully apart and check the condition of everything else and just go from there.
