Red face bucking @ low rpms on light throttle...

I get that problem between 2000rpm-3000rpm mostly and if I give the car more gas, like say 1/2 throttle, then it starts going again fine. And also my idle is REALLY LOW when the car is HOT...are these ALL SIGNS OF A BAD TPS?

Sounds like it. I would definately expect it to be the TPS.
Could be the MAF, but it is MUCH more rare.
Try adjusting it, with the lites and the 1V method. If you don't know how, just do a serach on TPS adjustment.
It might help, if not, you probably have a spike in the TPS signal, pretty common.

Your car will go into limp mode without the TPS hooked up at all.

what do you mean by limp mode?

the only thing it does without the TPS is think you are at WOT all the time. hell if you give it more then like 1/4 throttle you are not using the TPS anyway.
the only problem I ever had with it was at low rpms in first or second and it would buck around. it held the idle just fine though at 500 rpms.
did not even realize that I did not have for some time but it looks like the prev owner took the thing off.

still was getting 20-25 mpg and just as fast as I was with one as without just not as friendly in the low rpms in low gears. it liked to buck

check you tps make sure it is plugged in and that it is adjusted right

It sounds like a common problem that all RX-7's I have driven do.
In 2nd or 3rd gear, when you are trying to kind of cruise/coast, the car starts bucking and shuddering alot. But only under specific load;throttle; and RPM's.
I don't know how to fix it but I see it all the time. Think its a combination TPS/vacuum leak/crappy worn out drivetrain that causes it.

my car used to that. then i replaced AFM,TPS, and lower intake manifold gasket. the only time it does it is when the i coast down in gear. my timing is off too so that could be the cause.
