bucket seat ?
My driver seat is badly damaged by the seat bealt at shoulder level.
i have a leather interior so i wonder what i should do...
I can find a shop to have my seat reholstered and the car would be as good as new, or i could go for a bucket seat.
i'm not a pilot and all in all i like the original seat. but i tend to seat not correctly (understand that i my *** is not well placed, there is usually a gap between the end of my back and the seat) and on hard turn i fight a bit to be well maintained. But the replacement is not mandatory...
although i like the look of a bucket seat...
main problem is that i'm 1m89 tall (5foot 10 i think). in the actual state, i fit barely in the car and if i put a helmet on, the top of the helmet is constantly on the roof.
from what i read, if i install a bucket seat with universal rails (cheap) it would raise the seat and therefore i wont fit anymore...
what solution exists to instead lower the seat compare to stock position ? although my seat is moved as far from the steering wheel and i could use a couple centimetre more (it's really hard to do hell toe braking for me as my knee hit the steering wheel while in my other car i have no issue). i don't know if there are some bucket seat that could help for the issue...
As a summary , i'm looking for a bucket seat that:
- would suit my size (5foot 10)
- with a low installation
- that doesn't look out of place in the stock interior
- eventually that could makes me seat a but more away from the steering wheel
- in a reasonnable budget...
is it feasible ?
