Broken VDI Solenoid

Should have left well enough alone. i was replacing the crispy vacuum lines and ended up breaking the tube off the back of the VDI solenoid. it looks impossible to glue it back on. does anyone have a list of other Mazda vehicles that use a similar solenoid? The junkyards here in Houston are pretty picked over for FC parts. There are tons of Protege's and MX-5 around.

Try posting a WTB ad on here, I'm sure someone has one lying around. Or try eGay or look for an S5 n/a partout thread.

Thumbs up

FYI, It looks like any 88-91 Mazda 626 or MX-6 has the solenoids. they are on the firewall. The only difference is the clip on the bottom is different (backwards) and they are made by Mitsubishi. You will have to find an alternate way to mount them or just let em hang.
