broken tach beeping

hi there
I just replaced the battery and shorted out my tach on my 1986 rx-7 . Now my tach won`t work as well i am getting warning beeps when the car is in motion. The beeping stops when the car is stopped but starts again when the car is moving.
Is there a fuse somewhere and if the tach is fried is there some way to stop the constant beeping? thanks all ,deeks

check the fusepanel under the kickpad. also, tac not working could be bad (trailing?) coils, thats what it measures from.. my car does that sometimes.

The beeping is most likely your PS computer under the steering wheel area. Big silver box. Unplug it, see if the beeping goes away.
