Broken gauge surround mounting tabs

So the previous owner of my 7 was a gorilla when it came to removing brittle 20 yr old dash parts.... All but one of the mounting tabs for the gauge surround are broken off. It's the top left one inside the bezel. All the bottom ones and the other two are broken... So I need some ingenuity from you guys. Any ideas on making tabs to mount the surround to? I'm scared that I'm going to hit a good bump here soon and the last tab will let loose. And I'm tired of my surround rattling...

It's got to be something I can thread into... That seems like a good idea so far though.

That's the best idea. I've had to do it before. Get some Jb Quick and leave it sit over night.

I glued one of the lower broken-off mounting tabs back on with some two-part epoxy maybe two years ago now and it's still holding.

I snapped one of the lower tabs off recently. I also notice the other one is cracked and about to go. I was thinking I'd make an aluminum strap for each side that I can wrap under the edge of the housing, below the gauge cluster. The other end will extend out where the tab used to be and be doubled back on itself to fit the threaded clip onto. I'll use the hole dimension from the tab I still have and drill into the new strap. Once I'm convinced it'll work I'll scuff the plastic and epoxy the strap with a bit of fiberglass cloth. No rattles!
