Question Broken diff mount

After a nice fun drive today, was about a mile from my house when I broke my front diff mount. The question i have is, is it safe to drive the car a mile or two to my shop?

Totally safe, just do your best to be gentle with it so as to not damage the other mounts, if they're not already worn.

is it safe to just get another oem front diff mount and then pinion snubber it? it shoulds like someone is hitting the floor board of my car with a mallet...

I would recommend the Mazda Competition mount, it's stronger and IIRC cheaper. Coupled with the snubber and you're good to go.

...that is until you tire of your diff slapping the tunnel, or break it again on hard decel. Your car will still have wheel-hop like a **** on hard launches, it's just a flawed design, so until someone develops a better mount we're all kind of stuck following DC5Daniels's advice and installing a comp mount (P/N FCY1-28-680 BTW). While Ronin developed a terrific alternate solution (for FC's and FD's) , I'd prefer to not have to sink $1500+ into replacing the entire diff.

I had more success welding and boxing in the stock mount then the competition ones.

Broke 2 with my LS1.
