Broken bolt

When I had the tranny installed the guy broke off a bolt that holds the shift lever into the transmission. It is on the top with 2 other bolts. I am finally getting around to fixing my bushings but am unsure of a way to get this bolt out. It is completly broken off. I was thinkin of making a hashmark into the top of the bolt and try to get a flat tip screw driver in there and unscrew it. Anyone have a better solution or suggestion to this? Hoping for one that would work.
Thanks.
