BRIDE/Sparco/Cobreau seat question
BRIDE/Sparco/Cobreau seat question
I just picked up a pair of bride lowmax and was wondering if I can use the stock sliders with aftermarket sidemounts and have it sit upright on the passenger side. I remember my old ebay seats sat slanted to the left (looking at it from the front) Should I buy an aftermarket seat rail for the passenger side? If so, What kind? I'm not positive but pretty sure the driver side isn't really a problem because the holes in the seat mounting area are flat. Just worried about the passenger side cause it seats at a weird angle. thanks
Seems to me that any seat except stock will need custom work to sit flat on the passenger side.
The only advantage you have- and it's a small one- is that the finished base height isn't as critical as the driver's side is.
The oddball passenger side seat mount has been the bane of my existence for a while...I dislike the stock seats and dislike mismatched seats as well.
I've finally just accepted the fact that I'll have to tear down my seat of choice (a Recaro from a Honda CRX) and redo the base structure to accommodate the angled/offset inside passenger rail.
