brew into a 2nd gen... so close

Well here it is. I have a 94 brew into a 2nd gen. I'm using all of the 3rd gen wires in the front end. The issue arises when I get to the back end. I'm having problems mating the 3rd to the 2nd for the tail lights and fuel pump. Everything else is done except for the brakes and no one needs brakes on a seven anyway. Especially while it's sitting. Can anyone post a link to anyone who's wired this before or will I need to sit and go through the 129 page wiring diagram?

Huh? What is a brew? Do you mean REW? is there a B in there?

I think there is information on here about the REW swaps.

Actually... there isn't much info about 13B... REW swaps on here besides: Don't do it. And I 100% concur. I wouldn't have done it if I knew, but now that we have that cleared up, all I need is some info on what wires on the 3rd gen mate with the 2nd gen for the tail lights and fuel pump. Other than that the car is done. I'll just go back out to the garage with my wiring diagram and start plugging away I guess.

Gotcha. That's what I thought. I was thinking a 94 brew.... like a 94 bear, or wine, or something.

Are you trying to hook your 13B REW to an FC rearend? or just trying to figure out how to wire the fuel pump / tail lights?

I am pretty certain that the tail lights aren't in anyway tied to the motor, other then power from the alternator / battery. Also, the fuel pump, I think is on a relay.... turn the key to the on position, and the pump is on. At least, that is how mine works. I think there maybe something where the voltage is stepped down? Don't remember if that was on this forum or another. haha.

So, if it is fuel pump wiring, I would guess, though maybe incorrect, that if you hook it to a relay that is IGN ON switched, it should be good.

Well the harness from the third gen (all the wires under the dash that hook to the steering wheel, etc) are going to the back where there are plugs that don't match up of course. I'm guessing I'm just going to run a wire to the pump, but the tail lights have an incredible amount of plugs and wires that I didn't want to have to look up. But I can already tell through my searches that I will just have to start sorting through them to see what is what. I converted the driver's dash and steering wheel, turn signals, to 3rd gen so everything from the seat's forward is 3rd gen. I had a front clip.

I will be getting an apexi pfc. But that's not my issue right now. My issue is I don't know what color the wires are on the 3rd gen that go to the 2nd gen rear end for the brake lights/turning signals/fuel pump.

lol what the ****....i know its too late now, but what made you rip your body harness out and use the 3rd gen...that makes no sense. (Im doing the swap too, much easier not touching the body harness lol)
Anyways, just listen to those guys. Get an FC and FD electrical manual and start piecing it together.
Good luck man, any pics?

Yeah and part out the car you have now because if you started tinkering with the body harness nothing is ever going to work 100%

Yes, what in the HELL are you doing??? The FD body harness has no place in the FC! you really just need to make connections between the FC body harness ("Front" harness) and the FD engine harness "emissions" harness. You can definitely mate the factory harnesses together if you're good with shop manuals. You need to make sure that all your main engine sensors on the FD engine harness are receiving the +12V signals they need from the main relay, and be mindful of the crank angle sensor wiring. you'll also have to check that the circuit opening relay is switching on correctly or the fuel pump won't turn on. I'll leave the details to you to hunt down. Your job is also helped by the fact that the crank angle sensor wires are on the main engine harness ("emissions" harness) on the FD.

why didn't you figure this out BEFORE you ripped your car apart? to get that FC body harness out you would have had to tear the car apart completely and probably destroy whatever's left of the interior.
