breaking plates

i have a T2 with 450+hp at rear wheels car ran good and every thing ,best time of 11"1 but i keep breaking rear plate or front plate seems to be my only prob

That's DETONATION! You need to get that sucker tuned properly. What are you using for fuel and ignition control?
