Brakes on GXL
I have 4 piston brake calipers on my GXL, I got them rebuild, and use PBR brake pads, but the braking performance is not that good. Any suggestion about increase the braking performance without spending a lot of money to buy 6 pistons calipers. How about the rear brake caliper? Is that too small? If I change the slot/drill disc, EBC green stuffs, will the performance increase?

Which one is better? I don't want one that has no performance when cold. I need one that suit for winter too.
Actually, do you think this is possible to use the same 4 pistons caliper( on the front) to replace the rear one?

STEEL BRAIDED BRAKE LINES AND DOT 4 OR DOT 5 FLUID. also, you can go with cross drilled rotors sloted rotors are a waste on the street you will be replacing the pads to often. also your pads are fine EBC pads are great though from what i hear.

Good lord, the brakes on a GXL aren't good? I can knock my fillings out putting the binders on going into turn 14.. Pads are your problem, but I don't have any recommendations for you (I don't use street pads), sorry.
A good brake fluid flush is a good idea too. To do:
Use a turkey baster to get rid of 90% of the fluid in the master cylinder.
Fill with new fluid.
Goto the right rear corner, and bleed the brakes until you get fresh fluid out of that line. Repeat on all for corners.

I have a similiar problem. Calipers work fine. New front right caliper and master cylinder 6months ago. EBC Green pads on front. Brakes have been bled twice by the shop that put the parts on. No indication of air in system (no geyser in reservoir). But my pedal is soft and the brakes don't feel as good as they should be.
