lol...opps

I can hear my front right (or at least I'm pretty sure it's the front right) brake squeaking when going from bout 1-40mph. And when I step on the brake, it goes away.

It speaks when I'm going straight. It stops if I tilt the wheel just the slightest degree right. It continues squealing if I turn left.

I haven't really checked the actual brakes yet cause it's so damn cold outside.

I'm just wondering if you guys can give a good estimate what the problem is.

Thx.

you better go get your pads replaced, that sound it the warning indicater on the pad. Its telling you that you dont have much pad left. some times it can be pretty short in between that sound and when the pad finally gives up. For one of my cars, i can remember in the morning, it was making that sound, later that day there was no pad left and metal to metal, runing my rotors.

While you're down there changing pads, check the bearings. Sounds like they're getting loose (worn).

Could be as simple as pads moving inside caliper. As rotor "wobbles" pads are contacted and move slightly, therefore noise. If pads were destroyed ,sound would be heard when stopping. Check pads, and all hardware. May need to use some disc brake quiet solution. When you step on brakes, pressure is exerted onto the pads, and therefore they don't move back and forth causing rubbing against the piston(s) depending on vehicle you have.
