brake master cylinder differences/interchangeability

what difference (if any) is there between s4 and s5 and turbo and na brake master cylinders?

basically, i have an 86 base model but i have front s5 4 pots from a vert (not on the car yet) and i will be getting turbo rear 4 pots. i need a new master cylinder now, and if i buy turbo master cylinder now, will it work now with single piston brakes and then later with the vert/turbo brakes too?
