Brake Master Cylinder Adjust

How do you adjust the FC brake master cylinder rod correctly? Anyone have tips?

I'm about to put in a new brake mc, and want to make sure it's adjusted properly.

I did look up the FSM procedure, but I don't quite understand it as the description is rather brief, and seem to require a Mazda tool.

the pedal to the booster, is simple, it should have some freeplay, but not be loose.

the booster to the master is a little harder, basically you're looking for zero clearance + a little. measuring it is a little odd though, the booster side is easy, the master side is not.
this one makes a big difference though, my fc had like 0.030" of play there!

It’s trial and error usually. Install it the best you can the first time and test drive it. If the pedal feels loose adjust the nut behind the brake pedal a turn closer. If it feels like the brakes are dragging, adjust it a turn away from the booster. It may take a few drives around the block to get it just right.
