brake M/C

i was wondering if it would be possible to put a T2 M/C in a non ABS FC, reason being it has a bigger diameter piston which would provide much better brake feel. anyone know?

no because the lines going into it are different.

FYI I don't think there is any difference between turbo and non turbo M/Cs. the difference is ABS and non ABS M/Cs. so a turbo or N/A with ABS have the same one. and a turbo or N/A without ABS have the same one (which is smaller like you said).

the NA has a .875 dia piston, the turbo has a .937 dia piston which means better pedal feel

so you are saying there are 4 different M/C s?

cause not all turbos are ABS and not all N/A are non abs..

and I know the non abs and abs M/Cs do not change with each other.

I'm pretty sure that all non abs are the smaller one. and all abs are the bigger one.

maybe you are confused and thinking all turbos are abs?

if all turbos arent ABS thatd be great, i just want a bigger piston to push the fluid to make the brakes feel better. I just installed the big brakes and the pedal doesnt feel as stiff as it did with the small brakes seeing as how the fluid the M/C has to push now is greater, i just wanted to fix that

When you say 'big brakes', are you referring to the four piston Mazda calipers? If so, welcome to the club of weird feeling brakes. I've been thru three masters (one was a bad rebuild and leaked, so it doesn't really count) trying to get decent pedal feel. My pedal did improve after putting new discs on the front, but then went 'soft' again. The suspicion is fluid displacement issues. The thicker your pads/discs, the firmer the pedal. And with four pistons, more fluid is needed to move them than the small single piston calipers.

If you are sitting still with your foot on the brake, do you get a feeling of the pedal 'sinking'?
