Question Brake Line Questions?

Yes i did search, but didnt find the exact answer i wanted to hear. My front passenger brake line is leaking from the hard line ( that what i think its called). Its not the hose, but its a metal piece thats connected to the brake cailper. I'm lookin to buy SS brake line and wondering which company have the lines that included the hard line also? BTW, i also posted at For Sale forum lookin for used brake line/hard line, but one member suggested not buying used so im gonna go the extra step and buy SS line.

Thank You,
Voeun

when i was doing my caliper swap i had asked mazdatrix if there was any replacement for the hardline. they said no. i know they're not the end-all-be-all of knowledge, but i'd trust them.

new hardlines aren't that expensive anyways, i think mine were $40/pair from the dealer.

Or you could spend $2 and get a standard piece that is the same length and has the same fitting. I think it's the 3/8" fitting. The catch is that you will have to bend it yourself. It's not hard, you just have to be very gentle/slow and use both thumbs. Don't do one big bend all at once. Do small bends and move your thumbs along. If you pinch the line then your brakes may not work properly. You'll have to ensure that the tire does not rub it either. It's not hard, use your head and you'll be fine.

Oh thanx for the idea. I might try it, but i perfer the dealer one because i cant take off my wheels rite now since the lug nut key broke off and cant get a new key yet. Stupid Socket Lug key and thier lug nuts.

P.S. don't buy SocketLugs lug nut cuz the key breaks easily.
