NY BOV on a S5 turbo 2 (Problems)

So the other day i was bored and tinkering with my FC (1991 Turbo) and i decided to install a USED blow off valve(atmospheric) that i had obtained from a friend. After proper installation i started the car and it was stall the second i let off the gas even at idle. I immediatly started searching for an answer why this was happening. After alot of reading all i had read was that cars with a MAF sensor couldnt have BOVs installed. I dont think this is true because the blow off valve has nothing to do with the cars idle and should remain closed. Could the blow off valve be leaking and causing the car not not idle? That was my first assumption and the only thing that i could think of off the top of my head.
Thanks for help in advance
-Justin

My vote is a vacuum leak from the bov not sealing.

That was my best guess ill have to pick up another one to try it out. Its not a major problem...i wouldnt run a BOV permenantly anyways. Just like to figure things out.

Yeah i blocked it off real well too...So it all leads me to believe its the BOV. It should just cause me to be rich inbetween shifts not at idle...

Sounds like the bov is the problem. I ran my T2 with a maf and a bov for a long time...
