bov question

well i did search and didnt find a direct answer for my question. i was just wondering if putting a bov on my 87 t2 allow me to engage the bov while revving it from idle? i ask because i heard on some cars u have to recirculate the vented air or somethin like that and the only way to hear it is when the engine is under load. so, if i purchased a apexi bov with the adapter when would it actually be venting the pressure? thanks for the help

im pretty sure apexi oen is vented but i hear its quite. and its gonan be hard to hear a BOV while reving in nuetral because there is no load adn you wont build boost.

on bovs where you can adjust the spring harness (lack of better words to describe it) you can adjust it so it opens under a smaller amount of vacuum, on my blitz DD I had been playing with it and adjusted it so the spring was not very "tight" and it vented at idle. But in doing this you might suck in air at idle through the bov (vac leak) and possibly open under boost causing you to lose some boost.
