BOV, POV, Air Bypass Valve???

I've done a great deal of searching, but in need of some education.
Working with '89TII, made some modifications and now the car runs super, but need to keep the boost in check so to my question. It looks as though the stock air bypass valve is to relieve the sudden backlash when throttle closed, and naturally not a bov. If a BOV is installed before the intercooler, then this valve can be eliminated, however, I would like to route the expelled air back into the intake system ahead of the turbo so no richness is experienced. This I can understand, but if it is done this way, what about the air that is released after let's say a predetermined amount is achieved. What effect will this expelled air have on the mixture? I'm not looking for any blow off sound, just the proper way to do an install without mixture compromise. Keep the factory bypass valve and just install a Pop Off Valve, but any adverse effects on mixture when excess pressure is expelled????
How about a few lessons from the experienced.
Thanks in advance

You'd have the same problem because the air has been metered but it won't enter the engine.

Another reason for routing the BOV discharge back into the intake is to improve boost response.

Why are you worried about excess boost? A POV is simply a safety measure, not a boost controller.

GOT IT!
Reread the reply and the light went on. All expelled air has been metered, so back into the mix again. Simple answer.
Thanks

Some of the aftermarket BOV's have a discharge flange that allows you to use them in a bypass valve configuration if you fabricate the appropriate plumbing back to the turbo inlet.
