Question Boost problems

Hey guys i havent actually checked the car yet but im online so i figure ill ask. I havent owned a turbo car for that long so im not really sure how to trobuleshoot this. My cars down on boost at the moment so there must be a leak there somewhere now the thing that i find strange is the bov is sounding different, would that be from the lack of boost its probably still pulling 5 or 6 psi. any common problems i should check for or just check out the whole system for leaks?
